Lubuntu : Error message - Stopping CPU interrupts Balancing Daemons

Issue

Upon the installation of lubuntu (a lighter version of Ubuntu) I'm getting the following error message:

"Stopping CPU interrupts Balancing Daemons"

What can be done to solve this issue?

Solution

To solve this problem, run the installation CD in live CD mode (without using lubuntu install) and launch the terminal.

Type the following command:

" sudo apt-get remove ubiquity-slideshow-lubuntu "

" Validate and type "exit" to exit the terminal

Double click on "Install Lubuntu" on the deskto and it shall be OK.
