How to pay with your smartphone? In order to pay for your purchases with your smartphone, you will first need a phone that supports the NFC technology (it stands for Near-Field Communication, that is, contactless communication) and a dedicated application. Contactless payment can also be a feature of your credit card or debit card but, for details, we recommend that you ask your bank.
What Is NFC Technology?
As mentioned above, NFC is the English acronym for Near Field Communication. This is a technology that safely allows the exchange of data (in this case banking) over short distances, allowing communication between the smartphone associated with your account via the app and the POS (for Point Of Sale) of the business. where you want to pay. It goes without saying that both the phone and the POS must have integrated this functionality, otherwise contactless payment with smartphones is not possible.
Enabling NFC on your smartphone is very easy: just go to Settings, proceed to Connections, then select NFC and enable the slider of this feature or select ON.
Now that you know if your smartphone supports the NFC technology and that the feature is enabled, you have to install an application dedicated to payments to which you can associate your credit card, debit card or prepaid card. Now, let's see the best payment apps out there.
